Our story

Hey there! My name is Victoria Mathews and I’m the owner of Sifted + Redeemed Baking Co. If you know anything about me, I’ve been in the kitchen a long time. Growing up in both of my grandmother’s kitchens, I’ve learned a ton about old fashioned baking and that’s why most of my recipes have been passed down from them. But the beauty of baking is that it can be tweaked to exactly what you want! So while each item I offer might be based off of an old recipe, it has also dealt with a little bit of refining on my end. That means that in the end, not only do you get something beautiful, you also get something that tastes amazing!

You may also be wondering where in the world this name came from. It is a very personal name for me. In every way throughout my life, God has been sifting me so that I can grow and be a better follower of Him. This is a process that happens daily. Just like we sift ingredients to remove the impurities, God does the same with us. As He sifts us, He redeems us. Makes us more pure, more whole. And I wanted my name to reflect that process.

I’m located in Ozark, Al., so if you’re anywhere near, I’d love to work with you! I offer everything from wedding and birthday cakes to French macarons, decorative cookies, cinnamon/sweet rolls, and so much more! I look forward to chatting with you!
